Central Air - Carrier or Goodman?

I am planning to install central air to my 2000 sq ft home (one strory ranch/slab foundation on Long Island. I am between a Carrier and Goodman. It's getting confusing because I was told that there are only a few c/a manufactures out there with many different brand labels. Any opinions on Carrier's Comfort, Performance or Infinity series? Thanks.
