Can I go back to my college to take courses after transferring?

I am going to transfer from a community college to a university in fall 08. In addition to taking my major courses, I'm taking pre-med courses which are much much cheaper at my college. Will it be possible to attend UCLA (for example) while taking some courses at my college? How will this account toward my GPA (since I know after I transfer I start the GPA again from scratch)? And more drawbacks? thanks
