What would you do in this situation?

My husband is going the doctor tomorrow to get a consult for a vasectomy. The reason he is getting this done is because I almost died having my son(he is not the father). He is 38 says that he does not want any children of his own. I am having second thoughts about the marriage and have not told him about what I have been thinking. Is it right for me to let him go threw with getting a vasectomy even though I do not know if I will remain with him forever?
